MUST BE in METRO-DETROIT to be at the office everyday.This high-profile role offers excellent growth opportunities and involves working closely with the senior management team to develop comprehensive construction cost estimates for lump sum General Contract and Design\/Build projects. Projects encompass renovations and new constructions of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Water and wastewater treatment plants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pumping stations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Storage reservoirs and retention basins<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Water transmission facilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wastewater conveyance systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare detailed cost estimates for the civil\/site work we self-perform, including:\n<ul>\n<li>Structural Concrete<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excavation and Grading<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Structural\/Selective Demolition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Site Utilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop work scopes and solicit subcontractor pricing for the remaining civil\/site and architectural work necessary for the projects<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work closely with senior management to analyze project requirements, assess risks, and determine cost-effective solutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Employ computer-based estimating tools and software to enhance accuracy and efficiency<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid and Primavera P6 software is beneficial<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven track record in construction cost estimating, preferably within the water and wastewater infrastructure sector<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong computer-based estimating skills are required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid and Primavera P6<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and external partners<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Compensation:<\/strong>   $140,000 &#8211; $160,000<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Exciting opportunity with a reputable Construction Company as a Chief Estimator to join a team of estimating group at Novi, Michigan headquarters.
