Exciting opportunity with a reputable Construction Company as a Chief Estimator to join a team of estimating group at Novi, Michigan headquarters. MUST BE in METRO-DETROIT to be at the office everyday.This high-profile role offers excellent growth opportunities and involves working closely with the senior management team to develop comprehensive construction cost estimates for lump sum General Contract and Design/Build projects. Projects encompass renovations and new constructions of:

  • Water and wastewater treatment plants
  • Pumping stations
  • Storage reservoirs and retention basins
  • Water transmission facilities
  • Wastewater conveyance systems

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for the civil/site work we self-perform, including:
    • Structural Concrete
    • Excavation and Grading
    • Structural/Selective Demolition
    • Site Utilities
  • Develop work scopes and solicit subcontractor pricing for the remaining civil/site and architectural work necessary for the projects
  • Work closely with senior management to analyze project requirements, assess risks, and determine cost-effective solutions.
  • Employ computer-based estimating tools and software to enhance accuracy and efficiency
  • Knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid and Primavera P6 software is beneficial

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven track record in construction cost estimating, preferably within the water and wastewater infrastructure sector
  • Strong computer-based estimating skills are required
  • Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid and Primavera P6
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and external partners

Compensation: $140,000 – $160,000
