Our client, a well-established and growing civil engineering firm, is actively seeking a Site Civil Engineer to lead and expand their site civil practice in the Charleston, SC office. This is a direct-hire leadership role—ideal for a highly experienced professional ready to take ownership of a practice area and make a lasting impact in the Lowcountry region.
Position Overview:
In this key role, you’ll be responsible for managing multidisciplinary teams, overseeing site development projects, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to both strategic planning and business growth. You’ll also drive client development efforts and ensure the practice meets its financial and performance goals.
Compensation & Benefits:
- 💵 Base Salary: $141,000 – $170,000, commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and expand the site civil practice within the Charleston market
- Build and manage high-performing technical and project teams
- Coordinate with senior leadership on business strategy and goals
- Manage budgeting, resourcing, and financial performance of the practice
- Lead proposals and contribute technical insight across project phases
- Mentor staff and lead performance development efforts
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (required)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (required)
- 10+ years of experience in site civil engineering and land development
- Proven success in project management and client development
- Familiarity with local permitting and market dynamics in the Charleston area
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
