A leading electrical and general construction contractor specializing in medium high-voltage, complex critical power, and general construction projects is looking for a Senior Project Manager. Serving high-profile clients, including NASA, the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and major defense contractors. As the company continues to expand their operations on the Space Coast, they are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and grow their Charleston office.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and seasoned Senior Project Manager to oversee all operations related to the Space Coast projects. This role is pivotal in managing existing projects, securing new work, building and maintaining client relationships, and expanding the company’s presence in the region. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the successful execution of projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and closeout of complex electrical and general construction projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives.
  • Business Development: Actively pursue new project opportunities within the Space Coast region, including fostering relationships with NASA, NRO, USACE, and other defense contractors.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for all Space Coast operations.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor project teams, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality work.
  • Office Growth: Drive the growth of the Merritt Island office, including expanding the team, increasing project volume, and establishing PPS as a key player in the Space Coast construction market.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure profitability and efficient use of company assets.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in the construction industry, with a strong focus on electrical work and general construction. Experience working with government agencies and defense contractors is highly preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex projects with stringent requirements.
    • Excellent business development and client relationship management skills.
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and project management methodologies.
    • Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Location: Ability to work out of the Merritt Island office and travel as needed to project sites.
  • Salary: $130,000 – $150,000
