Position Summary

The Structural Engineer is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of structural engineering deliverables. The role involves designing and analyzing steel structures, ensuring technical quality, and supporting drafting and fabrication teams. This position plays a key role in maintaining engineering standards and meeting project timelines.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design structural components for power transmission and traffic intersection steel structures.
  • Perform structural engineering calculations and analysis.
  • Provide accurate input to drafting/design teams for fabrication drawings.
  • Review structural drawings to ensure compliance with engineering and project requirements.
  • Interpret and apply contract documents, drawings, and customer specifications.
  • Ensure all engineering deliverables meet company and customer standards.
  • Participate in development and maintenance of corporate engineering standards.
  • Lead or support internal and external design reviews.
  • Provide technical guidance and review of investigation reports.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of engineering guidelines.
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule and are delivered with high quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil or Structural preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering and design
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification required
  • Experience with PLS-POLE software preferred
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and analysis tools
  • Strong communication, organizational, and planning skills
  • Proficient IT skills and comfort with office equipment and software
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
